Primers

Everyone always wonders if a primer is really necessary. Well first lets talk about what a primer does. Primers even out the texture of the skin, keep the makeup smooth and flawless, add longevity to the makeup, and protect the moisture loss. Some MUA's always use primer to prep the skin before applying foundation. Silicone based primers are great for sensitive skin because they protect the skin from the products that may cause breakout. Primers are help fill enlarged pores, scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.

The correct way to apply a primer is to use a sponge or a brush. I prefer to use the 190 from MAC. Only use about a pea size amount, and build as necessary.

There are several awesome primers for your face as well as your eyes. Prep n prime face from MAC is wonderful and the Urban Decay Primer Potion or Mac Paint Pots great for the eyes. They will allow your products to last 8 to 12 hours, without absorbing into your skin or creasing.

My favorite for eyes is groundwork. Its a darker nude shade that you can where with everything, for lighter shades i recommend soft orche or painterly.

Hope this helps :0)
